The last few years have been quite rich in health and economic twists and turns. In the wake of the unfolding economic crisis, blockchain-based payment instruments have come to the fore once again. But technology is not just about the ability to pay. It can be used in a wide variety of areas of life. The paper will look at the potential linkages between the tourism sector and blockchain, which has the potential to shape the tourism industry by creating more efficient, secure and transparent systems. How quickly it can be implemented is the question of the future.
